Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form According to Your Astrological Sign

This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to players developing strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wish to listen. Just like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Archer myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating presence is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
