President Trump Invites Loved Ones of Injured National Guard Personnel to White House

Details on the Heartbreaking Shooting

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a shooting on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Memorials across West Virginia have occurred in their honor.

Presidential Call

The president said he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both soldiers of the West Virginia Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” the president informed journalists. “And in the same way with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Community Support

Community members came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to assist policing efforts in the capital.

Paying Tribute to the Soldier

“She was the individual that instructors desired. She behaved with quiet strength, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that lifted people around her,” the principal, the leader of her alma mater, told the Associated Press. “She was sweet, caring and always eager to help others.”

Funeral details for Sarah are still being arranged.

Judicial Steps and Policy Revisions

Officials have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The event prompted the government to suspend asylum processing and cease granting visas to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

Condition of Andrew Wolfe

The airman, a resident of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, West Virginia governor the governor mentioned on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer Pam Bondi informed a news show that she also intended to speak to the family.

Legacy of the Fallen Soldier

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County High in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a military police officer with honor, according to the military.

“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had fortitude,” the governor addressed the gathering at the memorial. “Though her life ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
