'Our Mission Consists of Only Killing' - The Way Sudan's Ruthless Fighting Force Conducted a Mass Killing

Fighters chuckle as they travel on the back of a pick-up truck, speeding by a series of several dead bodies and driving in the direction of the descending Sudan's sunset.
"Look at all this accomplishment. Look at this instance of genocide," a fighter shouts.
He smiles as he directs the video equipment on his own face and his companion combatants, their RSF identification on display: "The victims will all die like this."
The combatants are celebrating a mass killing that aid workers suspect claimed the lives of over thousands of civilians in the African metropolis of el-Fasher during October.
A City Severed from the Globe
Having held the city under blockade for approximately an extended period, from the summer the RSF proceeded to strengthen its control and restrict the remaining residents.
Space-based imagery show that forces began to construct a massive earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - surrounding the perimeter of the city, sealing off roads and halting aid.

At dawn on October 26th the militia conquered the remaining military strongholds and captured the central headquarters in the urban area, the headquarters of the Military Unit, as the military withdrew.

Content depicting its militiamen providing supplies to residents were circulated by several individuals, while the paramilitary's public relations unit published several videos claiming to display the compassionate handling of military prisoners of war.
Regardless of the online campaign being used by the paramilitary, their conduct in al-Fashir have generated worldwide condemnation.
